Okay so this is what you have to do to run Pokemon Black or White (but i have only tested Black) on your R4DS the original one, I don't think this will work on any clones.

First of all these are the things you will need:
    * An R4DS the original one( It sais R4 Revolution for NDS/NDS LITE) something like that. If it is a SDHC or something it's not original
    * You will need the Wood R4 firmware 1.13 (which can be found here) http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=13014
    * and a Pokemon Black or White or both Rom

That's all the stuff that you need!

    Instructions:
1, First download the Wood R4 Firmware 1.13 and extract it to wherever.
2, Copy and paste the _rpg directory and the _DS_MENU.DAT into the ROOT of your microSD card.
3, Place the Pokemon Black or White on your SD card
4, Now place the microSD card in your R4DS and turn it on.
5, When it starts go in to the picture of the microSD card and then find your game.
6, When you find the game and start it up.

Hope this works for you if it doesn't try fiddling withe the settings in steps 7 and 8.

    Good Luck :)

we all know that, but if some people missed the wood 1.13 release, this should do it.

oh and edit the turn soft reset/cheats off.
wood fixes that, so there's no need to disable any settings.

also, you dont need the rudolph patch since wood fixes it completely.

    Please help [IMG]

    I have the original R4, nds/ndsl
When I put only the Wood, the menu.dat, and Games folder into the root of the thing
I turn it on and I get stuck in the loading screen

wow really? i never had problems with this game on my original r4. oh that's right. my rom is patched.

i been doing some interesting tricks with my game. like switching back and forth between white and black so i can get all the pokemon using the same save file. made more saves so i can get all 3 starters and had them traded to my main. white i started on black, i switched over to white early on (before the long bridge) and still got zekram. bad news is i don't have access to white forest unless i fly there rather then walk, but then its all buggy and no grass or pokemon. so now i need to get further in my other save after getting a high level pokemon

This thread is old and about the JAPANESE release.
If you have a problem with the English versions, go to the 'official' Pokémon B & W AP discussion.
