ROM Hack Pokemon Black and White English Translation

I believe that this is worth the double post

Progress update: I just updated my repository, and I'm fairly sure that I've inserted everything I have in the script, with the exception of a couple of post-game things. So in theory, 100% story. But I could be wrong.

Of course, there are still plenty of untranslated trainers and other NPCs on the way. (The massive file with all trainer dialogue should have all the plot-required ones, but is around 20% done overall.) From now on, I'll probably be testing linearly, making sure things fit in the boxes and that pretty much EVERYTHING I can find is translated. (Before I went all out to insert the plot today, that process was complete up to Sky Arrow Bridge, though there was a designer's house in Shippo which I couldn't find the file for.)

With that said, we should expect the Official v5 patch to have the story ~100% translated when released! Many thanks to vgboy for translating the story for us!

If i may report an error from the unofficial v5, the descriptions of Victory Road, Lost Forest and the Pokemon League run off the side of the screen.

There is an error with the lady in the home town that you switch languages with, the word hand is cut off by the down pointed arrow.

And Karakusa Town Pokemon Center, the guy that tells you to save your game often, says save your gasme...

All I could find for now, but I'll help out to find everything I can

You do realize that by them translating the story 100% in v5 there will be no need for v6 or v7. Eventually pokemon black and white will be released in proper english game sometime between january-april not sure of approx date.

Well, v6 and v7 and so on will most likely be patches that fix bugs in the game and such, so v5 will likely not be the final patch.

Im getting really frustrated and i'd like if someone could help me: Is there any possible way to english patch a rom that has been patched with the anti piracy patch? i've been trying everything and i can't seem to work it

So are you saying you downloaded a pre-patched ROM from the internet and you want to patch that one with the translation patch?

no. I had a rom on me already, i was never asking on where to download a rom. i patched it with the anti piracy exp patch. I just wanted to know if i could patch that with the english translations

Well I don't see in my previous response anything saying that you wanted to know where to download the ROM, hopefully that clears some things up.

Now for your question..
If you read through the Patching Instructions, you will see that it is possible that you can patch your game with the AP patch before you patch it with the translation. So yes, you can patch the game with the translation after you apply the AP patch.

Im still trying to figure out how to find the Game ID and then change in for my R4i-SDHC, I still cant find the ttd.exe in order to change them, because its not in any of the folders provided, and my google search has turned up unsuccessful.

Have you tried using r4cce to find the game ID? There's a tutorial in romu about it.
