ROM Hack Pokemon Black and White English Translation

I used the .nds, patched it with xDelta, put it on my R4i, and the logo was in JAP. i went to the language and i got jap symbols, no english whatsoever. im gonna start completely over with clean rom. the rom i used was already patched for a while with rudolph's

That's your best option, however if should be able to patch on a "Pre-rudolph patched" rom.

Well with how the Rudolph patch works, just using a clean rom is cake O.o
All you have to do is drag it to the patch.exe and drop it there... it'll say "patched" and it's done.
Then you just use xDelta GUI to patch the rudolph-patched-rom that was just produced with the v4 .patch file

For AR codes: Check the ID with r4cce and edit the usercheat.dat - no need to edit the ext/info.dats now.

I'd suggest going with a clean rom, rudolph patching, then v4 patching, copy/paste, edit usrcheat.dat (if you have to) and you're done

Try to use intrinsic naming so you don't confuse yourself with file names.

I patched the rom with xDELTA, and i got the one that didnt say XXXX_patched (XXXX is the rom name)

The .bak file is a Backup file. It essentially is the file you used to patch. It hasn't been altered in anyway, the only change it has is a different extension. If you wish to use it as a .nds again, just relabel it as "nameofgame.nds"

Stinkin rom still won't patch though. Maybe it's my damned internet security that keeps popping up saying that "OMG. THIS IS A VIRUS!! IT MUST BE TERMINATED" Whenever the thing is almost done patching.

Kaspersky is great n' all.. I just wish it wouldn't act so retarded.

Story wise.. up to about the second town and a lot of the elite four and N's castle.

does not mean the story is fully translated, it means that he translation team is using vgboy's story translation and inserting it into the game.
