ROM Hack Pokemon Black and White English Translation

pretty much everytime the professor comes around my text changes to japanese from the point I talk to her and on =\

Hmm, make sure that in game, in your options menu, that the fifth option down is switched to "English." Also, if starting a new game and you are asked what language you want, select "English."

well the theres a "normal" option not english its on normal i selected english, pretty much everything else is english except dialog was fine until i talked to the professor, no other solutions?

Is the text Japanese when you go and visit the professor again and she tells you how many you have in your Pokedex? Or is it every time the professor talks?

I'll have to check this out, I haven't been able to play the newer versions of the patch because of my hack I'm working on.

Thats strange :/ Never heard of it switching to Japanese while going through some dialog

idk i just started playing a few days ago and went str8 to v7.

EDIT: tried starting new game you can actually start seeing the japanese text when the one dude starts speaking.

What Pokemon version are you playing? This issue might also be because of the flashcard you are using

Yeah, that will probably be the case when the English games are released. Although it will probably be revived once/if the directors cut of Pokemon B/W is released in Japanese. (Possibly Pokemon Grey/Gray?)

And about the logo,
It can be done if the game has the required colors in the logo pallet (The yellow and blue).

Hello. Can someone please help me? I've patched my White but it doesn't load on my TTDS. The jap version worked fine. It says load rom errcode=4. I have firmware 1.17a12.

Well, I patched a Pokemon Black version with v7 and everything is working and translated in English. So I can't really tell you whats going wrong for you :/ sorry.

So far so good .I've played Jap version,V3,V4,V5,V6 and now V7. Both Black and White. I saw a glich in the end battle for the fifth badge. I recieved the badge and he gave me the TM 77 (Level Ground I think). I restarted and he didn't the next time. I got it at the Electric cave.

Also in Hodomoe city the house at the west and north the couple speak to you in japanesse still in V6 they didn't.

ah i see what i did wrong i picked the wrong patch switched to the white version and the parts where it was Japanese in the other one is now English thanks for the help.

Hello I've been trying to get to play the game in english now for the past hour and I've been following all of the instructions and still have been getting nowhere. I'm using the Ackeard2 and the game itself is running but it refuses to be translated. I patched it using two diffrent methods and when I attempted to patch it using xDelta GUI it never says patch complete. First I use Rudolphs childplay patch and make a .bak file.(even though I don't understand why this step is needed)Then I try to apply the V7-Black-NewLogo.patch but i never get a patch completed message and when i start the game its in all japanese.
