Pokemon anime was much much darker at the beginning

I mean, im rewatching s01 of pokemon
And i noticed many dark thing
For exemple, ash had a vision of a pinsir killing his metapod
Saying that if charmenders flame ligth off, it dies
There was the ghost of a cute girl haunting a city, jessie said that her lover was probably cheating on her
And i saw many other dark thing that i just dont remember already (my memory sucks )

No, it's called Pokemon Adventures and it's based off the games. Red is the protagonist for the early issues.

ANYTHING to do with the aether foundation is dark, even in the anime. in fact there was a scene where lillie was harassed by an ultra beast (like, trying to attack her)

and that was the darkest shit I've ever seen since gen 5
