Pokedex For iOS, a App released in japan last month, has made it to the US and EU iTunes stores for 1.99, Cool right? Not at all, In reality you only get the Unova region Pokemon for that small price, it takes 4 purchases of 5.99 to unlock the other Regions. In total nearly 26 dollars for a complete Pokedex equivalent of the Pokedex 3D pro app
that costs 14.99 on the nintendo eshop for the 3DS.

Ridiculously expensive, if at least the app+unova dex was free just like on 3DS, but no (actually rovio has the same "cash cow" policy on IOS vs android (angry birds)).

And people said Nintendo did not know how achievements, online games and "freemium" worked.....

Wait pokemon as a manifestation of the achievement whoring mentality..... to the psychology laboratory.

I don't see the use of a real fake pokédex. It's not a game, just statistics and info on characters in a game.
Could someone explain the benefit of this app to me?

Any more of such things and I will probably be banned- apparent timewasters/idiot tax though they may be (granted that can be applied to an awful lot) I can not deny that is a brilliant stroke of marketing.

It's handy to have instead of having to look things up on Serebii every time you want to see what abilities a pokemon can have. Or base stats. Or when it will finally evolve/learn a better move. 26 bucks is overpriced though.

Wait, do you have to actually get them day by day in Pokedex 3D Pro like the free one? That would be kinda ridiculous after you paid that much for it...
