ROM Hack pockemon black and white freezing fix?

i can get to point where you pick your gender then whichever i pick it frezes after another 3 or 4 lines of text i presume this is where you select your name. can anyone help me?

Now.... This is a little like saying my car sputters to a stop at 40MPH can you help? What brand? Firmware? Patches? SD card? All useful information.

r4 sdhc. not sure of the firmware i think its 1.18 rudolphs childs play patch the ips patch and the sd is a 2gb card that just says micro sd on it no company name

I would guess an R4 clone using the old 1.18 does not support this game even with AP patching.
