ROM Hack [POC+Tutorial] How to build a GBA in CIA with YOUR Custom Banner

0.0) Download my PackHack and extract it.
0.1) A banner already created (How to create a custom 3D banner is not the purpose of this tutorial).

1) Build your GBA in CIA as usually.

2) Once you have your CIA, put it in the same folder as HackingToolkit.

3) Run it, write CIA then press enter, and when you are asked for a name, enter the name of the CIA you just created (without .cia).

4) When asked for, DO NOT DECOMPRESS THE CODE.BIN FILE!

5) You should see some new folders (exe / romfs / DecryptedBanner). You can delete the DecryptedBanner folder, it is not useful here.

6) Go in the exe folder, delete the banner.bin file, and replace it by your own. Do it for icon.bin too if you want.

7) Now you are ready to rebuild your game.

8) Always as usually, then convert your new .3ds to .cia using 3DS Simple CIA Converter.

Could you tell me how do I change the color of the bottom? It's always purple. Should I change some hex values? To build my bin, I used the Gba Cia converter and I would like to change the color of the edge.

I succeed changing the main screen and I have the bin files. Is there a program which allow me to open and see or even modify those bin files?

Open Ohana3DS, open your banner.cgfx, and export this png

but I think it would be easier and faster with ba-GUI-nnertool because all the injection process of the new banner can be done in 4 or 5 clicks, furthermore, no need to build a .3ds then convert it to .cia.

It's really more faster for me without your tool.
Manually is better atm.
Not be rude, but everywhere I see you, you said "use baGUInertool", "you can with baGUInertool".
Your tool is complicated and not very friendly.

I really think ba-GUI-nnertool is more convenient for beginners, and when people ask for help I direct them to the simplest solution in my opinion...
and in addition I am pretty proud of my tool... ( no pun intended )

Thank you both. It's always good to have options. I'll test the ba-GUI-nnertool as well and see witch one is better for my propose (i didnt know his software). Anyway, thanks for you two.
