Gaming Pleasehelp this Irish Girl! Persona 3 Eludes me... My love forever lost?

Hi there, I think I'm just a dumb girl?? Please make an Irish girl very happy!!
I've been trying for days to fix this problem.

"When i try to run Persona 3 Portable ISO on my Vita i get this error "THE GAME COULD NOT BE STARTED (80020148)"

I have a PSP 1003. I also have an original copy of Persona 3 Portable.
This game is VERY valuable, as It's not open. Like when i bought it in France
i didn't open the packaging, and now it's worth lots!
But i want to play it.

So I've added some folders to my PSP, and i can now copy my games to ISO's and play them
this way. My problem is., OF COURSE, EVERY singe game i have on ISO now
works. I've tried 11, but PERSONA 3... the one I'm doing all this for will nOT work (((
It's like some kind of sick joke.... 12 ISOs 11 work fine. Even Monster Hunter etc,
When i try to open Persona 3 i get this error "THE GAME COULD NOT BE STARTED (80020148)"

Can anyone tell me why it's only this ONE single game... THE one i want thats not working,
please make an Irish Girl happy!

Have you tried to set the drivers to inferno?
This one worked most of the time for me.
Otherwise I really recommend to play Persona 3 FES instead with this cheat:
With this you have 1 of the 2 selling points of P3P backported to the PS2 version.
The only thing missing is the new storyline with the female main character.
It has also better visuals and performance.

Hey man, I'm not using PPSSPP, Im actually using my PSP device.
What do you mean, i can play FES on my PSP? how?

Also, do you know why i can get a OK test for internet connection, but get
DNS errors when i go to update my Firmware.

@ColorFree When you are already in the main menu, you can change the driver after pressing select.
Maybe your CFW isn't up to date if your internet doesn't work reliably.

There is also another exploit from davee but I didn't have time to try it myself and my PSP works well with the me cfw.

I need to updaye my firmware. How though, keep getting DNS errors. Why wil only 1 game not work in ISO for me?

All 11 of my games work via ISO. Just not Persona ... I've tried 5 different versions... all the same erro "game could not be loaded" (880808080)

Did you try the EU version or the US version? (i don't know if a PSP is regio locked, since i bought mine already with modchip included in th early days)

Hi, yes i tried 5 different roms all different sizes, 2 said Europe 2 were US and one was Japanese lol. do you have one on your machine?
it's crazy how all my other games work, when THIS is the one i actually want, it's like a cruel joke.
if this doen't work , im going to have to buy it to play it on my PS Vita for 30 euro... only way!

Im almost certain thats it, but the f*cking TRIGGER Button on my PSP is broken... of Course!

Can you enable plugins from the VSH (home menu)? If so, you there are some that allow you to remap buttons. I think... macrofire.

In any event, I would strongly push you toward a modded vita. Way better controls.
