I have successfully softmoded several wii's to date. I am having trouble with a wii I am working on right now. It is a new wii and I attempted to load back up discs with neogamma 7 and it did not load, I got dvd error 1101. I have done some research and found that the new wii's may not be able to run back up discs. So I attempted the alternate route to use a usb loader. I am not able to load games this way though. It keeps giving me errors. I ran signcheck and this is the result of my ios's that are installed....is there any thing I need to fix?

  • what usb loader r u using and what rev? (try updating!)
  • how is your hard drive formatted?
  • what cios249 do u have installed (ie. merged with what IOS?)
  • what game are u trying to load, did u try more than 1?
  • also, u r missing cios222,223,224 (and 202, even though its not used for usb loading, u should still get it).
a lot of questions... no big deal, but next time try to give any and all related information from the start

edit: also, are u able to load the usb loader and see the games listed? Or is it not even getting that far? It could be an incompatible hard drive. What hard drive r u using?

No problem, I was not sure what info I needed to post. I am using a usb flash drive first of all I got from best buy. The only mods that I have performed on my wii are the one's posted here http://my.afterdawn.com/larrylje_redwings/..._entry.cfm/4429

I believe in that tutorial they had me remove the cios 222, 223, and 224.
I do not know what 249 I have installed, when I tried loading neogamma it says ios249 (rev 19) at bottom. I have attempted a couple of different usb loaders and none of them are loading games. I used WBFS to format the usb stick to put game ISO on it. When I load Neogamma at top I choose load from usb and yes it recognizes the game but does not load it.

what game r u trying, some games have specific issues

I would reinstall cIOS249 rev17 for now... I suspect cios249rev19 is whats causing your problems... also, if u are using Neogamma, are u using the most recent release (which is r8RC5)?

If i were u, I would also look into configurable usb loader and/or usb loader gx, and use that instead of neogamma for usb loading

no problem!

But as I said, if I were u, I would install cIOS202,222,223 and 224. I would get configurable usb loader and/or usb loader gx, and I would consider reformatting your wii hard drive as fat32 instead of wbfs (nothing wrong with wbfs, but it can't be used to store anything other than wii games, whereas fat32 can also be used to launch apps via the HBC as well as save files for use on your PC)

u want cios:
202v4[60+38] - for wad manager and mplayer_ce
222v5[38] - for all non-peripheral games
223v5[37] - for games with peripherals like guitar hero
224v5[57] - for faster usb loading, may not work with all games

here are some alternatives if something isn't working properly:
222v4[38] - for all non-peripheral games
223v4[38+37] - for games with peripherals like guitar hero

Here are links to the installers:
http://filetrip.net/f8367-hermes-cIOS-2222...nstaller-4.html
http://filetrip.net/g25123280-hermes-cIOS-Installer.html

note that these cios support loading games from fat32/ntfs hard drives (cios249 rev17 and below ONLY support WBFS, rev 18 and above supports only wbfs and fat32)

edit: yeah, google would've also worked, u can never go wrong with google
