Hacking Please help R4i RTS from sponsor not working after doing 1st 3DS following 3ds guide single system

Hi guys

I ordered A R4i RTS card so i could NTRBoot my 2 x 3DS XL's. The 1st 1 worked like a charm, but the 2nd 3ds XL cant even see the card, now the R4i card isnt even recognized in neither 3DS. I have even tried another micro sd card and formatted and recopied the wood firmware and the dsi.nds file to th ard but its making no difference.

I noticed the guide says fake cards sometimes might not work after following the guide once, but surely the sponsor site wouldnt sell fakes?

has anyone had this issue and fixed it or have i a non fixable card

Because you need to reflash it back to stock (it is still flashed for NTRBootHax). Look at Section V and you should be good to go.

oh jesus, feel a right muppet now, thanks for the reply, does it have to be a hacked 3ds i do it from, just only got the non hacked one in the house at the minute?

Your 3DS must be hacked in order to reflash your flashcard (because you need access to payloads). Well, actually, it does not have to be hacked, but you still need flashed flashcard for it so technically it does not have to be. You just need access to payloads.

ok so i need my hacked 3ds to put the R4i card back to stock before attempting to hack the clean 3ds with ntrboot, correct?

I thought i only needed to put back to stock if i wanted to use as a normal cart not in ntrboot?

right now, your flashcard should be configured for NTRBootHax, so if you want to hack another 3DS, you dont need to reflash it now.

yeah thanks what i am saying, i completed the guide with the 1st 3ds and its working fine, i then havent touched the r4 card, didnt reflash or nothing just literally plugged into 2nd 3ds and the cartridge slot doesnt detect it, no icon nothing, when i click the cartridge icon in the gui it says nothing there, i tried it in both 3ds and same thing.

thats because when it is flashed to NTRBootHax, it is not detected. It is normal. Once you flash stock flash to it, it will be detected again.

If you want to use the your flash cart to play DS games again you will have to reflash the original firmware. You can always flash the flash cart again to use it for ntrboot. You will just have to flash it back

we are getting confused.

i never want to use this card for anything other than installing ntrboot.

I hvent flashed the R4 card after the 1sr 3ds had ntrboot installed on it, i havent touched it at all, i thought it would just work as its in ntrboot mode, but both the 3ds cant see it at all

while the r4i has the exploit installed the 3ds system firmware wont read it but you can still use it to hack your 2nd 3ds just skip that section in the guide . . . start here Installing boot9strap (ntrboot) - 3DS Guide

You are the one who's confused, not us.

The icon not showing is a byproduct of it being ntrboot flashed.
This DOES NOT mean it isn't working. Ntrboot should still work.

I didnt think that, the opposite BUT where i was going wrong i was startig th full guide each time rather than skipping directly to section 6 on the 2nd 3DS but wormdood very kindly pointed me in the right direction
