A PlayStation 5 Pro might be on the way. Sony is hosting a "PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation" tomorrow, amidst rumors that have been ramping up regarding a refresh to the PlayStation 5 system. The official announcement is fairly vague, stating that the showcase will last 9 minutes, and will focus on the PS5 itself, as well as innovations in gaming technology. Mark Cerny, lead architect of the console, will host the presentation, which kicks off on September 10th at 8am PDT/4pm BST. Whatever the reveal is, you can expect to see a live coverage thread when it happens.

I think that would be kind of a shame, i really wanted to see a scenario where the VR in genereal gets better and (well) cheaper.
the death of it would be so nice, even though the PSVR2 wasnt good in sales

I can't wait to know about new Sony PlayStation 5 Pro system! I'm excite for this and want to buy PS5 Pro for myself to play my old PS4 games disc and digital plus PS5 games disc and digital too. I heard PS5 Pro system said to running more cool temperature than regular PS5 systems is amazing know to prevent overheat issues are great news! Thanks to new chip design! I'm not interest in VR. Because I love to stick with old school since for many years since NES, PS1 and PC.

The PlayStation 4 Pro felt really needed when it came out with many games missing 60fps modes and the original PSVR games really struggling on the OG hardware.

But with the lack of first party games that really push the current PS5, the trend of shipping titles with 60fps modes now as well as no noteworthy PSVR2 games, a Pro seems somewhat unnecessary to me.

It will be interesting to see how they market this one. I wonder if they could announce anything GTA VI related such as a 60fps target on the Pro but I really doubt this given that the game isn't even out yet and Rockstars tight lips.

ps4 pro was fine cause' most their games wasn't on pc and that made them had games. i can already see the chaos once they announce the ps5 pro without a disc drive and you have to get it separately

Rumor is there will be 3 models, 1 with no disc drive & 1tb, 1 with disc drive & 1tb, and 1 with disc drive & 2tb.

until ps5 announces a list of games worth playing that arent available on PC im not really interested in ps5. i have every ps including pstv and the handhelds like psp and vita but dont have a ps5 and dont plan on getting one anytime soon.

playstation just doesnt have anything exculsive to draw to it. gta6 will eventually be on pc. i can wait. sony starting to sound like apple where they gimmic there release versions to trickle out small changes to milk fanboys to buy them over and over.
