[tn=200]http://gbatemp.net/news/2012_01.jpg[/tn] According to Sony head honcho Kaz Hirai, the Playstation Vita will be pushed to an "early 2012" release for the US and Europe, with Japan still on track for a Holiday 2011 release. The delay is apparently due to Sony wanting "solid game offerings" for the system at launch. The Vita will also not be receiving a price cut in response to the large 3DS price cut, although no UK price has been announced. Hirai said "There is no need to lower the price just because somebody else that happens to be in the video game business decided that they were going to lower their price." We should all be able to get our hands on a Vita in a couple of months, however, and it seems Sony is wanting to polish it up for a fine launch.[/p] Source On-Going Discussion Thanks to Frogman for the news!
