PlayStation State of Play February 2025 - live coverage
While we wait for the highly-anticipated Nintendo Direct later this year, let's see how PlayStation is doing, in their latest State of Play showcase. With a focus on upcoming games for this year, the stream should give us a good idea of what to expect for the PlayStation 5 in 2025.
First things first--we jump right into Monster Hunter. Spring 2025 will add Mizutsune and event quests. Game launches Feb 28.
The Streets of Rage 4 devs are moving onto another SEGA classic, with Shinobi. August 29 for Shinobi: Art of Legends.
More SEGA, with Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, has a network test Feb 21.
Bandai Namco takes the stage next for Digimon. Digimon Story: Time Stranger has a teaser trailer, will be out later this year.
The next game is an action-RPG. Lost Soul Aside, available May 30.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza gets a demo later this month.
Dave the Diver is getting Like a Dragon DLC too. This April.
Splitgate alpha February 27. Has a 24-player mode. FPS.
WWE 2K25 gets The Island mode, which has quests and is a hub world you can explore.
Borderlands 4 shows off some gameplay. September 23 release date.
EA gives us a trailer for a new game from the It Takes Two developer. Split Fiction, March 6.
Until Dawn's studio has a new game. In space, horror elements. Directive 8020 out October 2nd.
Five Nights at Freddy's Secret of the Mimic is out June 13.
Another horror game in the form of The Midnight Walk, May 8.
Darwin's Paradox is a Konami game. It's a puzzle platformer.
Warriors: Abyss is Dynasty Warriors, but with roguelike elements. Launches today.
Onimusha 2 is getting a remaster. May 23.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword shows off a new trailer, game is out next year.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Delta. August 28. Ape Escape crossover content will be in it.
Hell is Us, September 28.
Lies of P is getting new content. Snow themed levels to explore. Overture, Summer 2025 is when the expansion launches. Requires base game.
Dreams of Another has PSVR2 elements. It was made with the theme of "no creation without destruction. The developers don't want you to hurt things, and instead create through destruction.
Days Gone: Remastered announced, has new modes. If you own the original, you can upgrade for $10. Launches April 25.
Stellar Blade has new DLC coming soon. June 2025. PC version coming then too.
PS Plus adds Star Wars Jedi Survivor this month.
Lost Records is out Feb 18.
Blue Prince calls itself an architectural adventure. You get to build a mansion that has shifting rooms. This Spring.
Abiotic Factor is an asymmetrical multiplayer game. Summer 2025.
First 3 Armored Core games are coming to the PS Plus catalog.
