Well, personally I love Sony's phones and I currently own one, I wonder if they'll include it on a system update or something. =O
I also hope that they port more games from PSP to android, dunno if anyone has tried it, but there's Spectral Souls, it's sequel and another game, all ported by the same company, those ports were really well done, they could def do more of those, I'm hoping this Playstation Mobile will mean that at least. z.z

Well, Apple and mobile gaming are pretty big right now. Trying to compete isn't a bad idea, though I do look forward to their expansion into energy... Playstation Mobil.

I don't have a problem with PS Mobile, but the energy market absolutely not I refuse to pay Sony for electricity.

Honestly I checked it out and nothing there is that great that makes me want to ditch the PSX emulator and buy something from PS Mobile cause none of them are that great, Sony should've put more effort into their consoles not a lame mobile store.

We've known about this upcoming platform since the first PlayStation Certified hardware reached the market - even back at the Xperia Play's launch, it was mentioned numerous times that in the future there will be a shared infrastructure between the certified devices, and here it is.

It's quite interesting, I hope it'll succeed, actually. I wouldn't equate it to the App Store or the Android Market - it's clearly gaming-oriented. More of a game store than an App store - the Android PSCertified devices still have access to the Market AFAIK,

Dear Sony,

We, Vita players, are interested on gamming. Leave this app shit for Google or Apple.

PS.: Angry Brids, Rage of Bahamut, Temple Run, etc. are not the kind of game we are expecting.

Sony is not only a video game console manufacturer - they manufacture general electronics. They're not going to abandon their smartphone department, so at least be happy you're getting something.

Ummm but that something isn't that good to begin with I mean from the list I was able to find plus checking it on my friend's device, I still prefer the casual games offered on the Android Market and the long gaming sessions with the emulators available.

The Android market has been around for years. Playstation Mobile just launched.

Don't knock it literally after a few days after its launch.

Wouldn't Sony have scoped out the market a while before launching it?
I mean it would be a really stupid idea to on a whim release something like this so obviously alot of thought and discussions has to have happened and the result was underwhelming considering you can just download a PSX emulator and get a bunch of better games, if Sony had considered this they probably would've started with alot of better games to choose from.

Wow. So let me get this straight... after launching the Sony XPeria Play (the alleged "Playstation Phone") a year and a freaking half ago, and constantly talking about the "Playstation Suite" for the XPlay and other PS certified phones, they're finally releasing it? Sony really squandered an opportunity by either releasing the XPlay much to early, or launching Playstation Mobile too late.

Anyway, why is Sony bothering with a dedicated app store? I guess it makes sense for the PSVita obviously, but what's the point on Android and iOS? Might they be just as well (or better off) just launching games through the Google Play Store and App Store respectively?

Sadly those kind og lil-cheap games are the ones that make money. Havent you notice that a lot of well know companies are making Mobile games? 70% of the games at TGS 2012 were Mobiles games. And don't even forget the apps.
