I was wondering if it is safe to play any original wii games on a soft-mod console. i know game supposedly have some sort of thing that contains and system update or something like that if i`m not wrong. so i was wondering if playing let say a copy of taksunoko vs capcom that i bought on gamestop could brick my wii. I just mainly feel bad because i got my wii 6 months ago and i`m yet to get my first game. [IMG]

    thanks ^^

as long as u dont install the updates your fine so install priiloader and set the block disk update hack on and ull be fine, or load your original through neogamma and play it that way so the updates are skipped

    its safe

if it asks u to update, just say NO (otherwise u will have to re-hack the console, but even that is "safe")

u can disable disk updates using a system menu hack via Priiloader (see my signature) or Startpatch

u could also launch the game using neogamma, or tinyload (tinyload only works with retail games, but it can play disks from any region)
