Hello Everybody,
I need your help. I have gotten my old Wii back recently (first revolution - the one with GameCube controller ports) and tried to homebrew it.
Before I started the homebrew process, I updated my Wii to the latest 4.3E version.
It all went well and I managed to install custom IOS's and all that good stuff. I Even made a backup at the beginning, installed Priiloader so I could "Regionn free EVERYTHING" and was ready to play games from my USB stick with USBLoaderGX.

After downloading some covers for the games, I tried to start them. What happened was nothing, just a black screen. I have tried to do everthing and researched for the past week on what the problem could be. I found nothing that helped my situation. I backed my Wii up once... didn't help. I even tried to run games from my SD-Card... no sugar.

So as a newcommer trying his best to research and solve the problems by himsef, I am asking you to help me.

Small flash/thumb drives generally have poor compatibility, try using a proper hdd formated as fat32

Flash drive compatibility can be improved by formatting it as wbfs instead of fat32, but u would lose many of the benefits of fat32 by doing this, you would also need an SD card to load your apps, since your wbfs formatted USB will only be able to store wii games

Jup that was the problem. I just bought a Toshiba Canvio Basics and formatted it to FAT32 with a cluster size of 32KB. Now everything works like it should.
