hey everyone, I burned a PAL wii game on my NTSC console using WiiGators 0.3 GAMMA (since PAL is "seeded" more and NTSC is seeded like crap)

I played it on my Wii using 0.3 GAMMA but to my Dismay i had black and white with the screen moving from TOP to BOTTOM (like a broke TV Set) [IMG]

but on my friends TV it works fine!! [IMG]

from the many research I have done i know this is a conflicting NTSC/PAL issue.

I've been looking at many ways to try to play PAL games on my NTSC wii with 3.2 but "freeloader" is out of the question due to circumstances.

I've seen cheap small converter boxes...but...which one do i get? [IMG]

    NTSC to PAL converter?

    OR

    PAL to NTSC Converter?

    1. my NTSC Wii is v.3.2
    2. my burned ISO is Mario Kart Wii PAL (regionfrii'd)
3.my TV is a NTSC HDTV (3 years old though)

any help would be VERY much appreciated! [IMG]

EDIT : I also saw that using a DVD player can be used as a "converter" anybody know something I don't know?

Older TVs just don't work with "Force NTSC" anyway.

If the TV is old that may be why. Try looking in the TV settings for something like 50 Hz display. If that option isn't there you're stuck with black and white until you get a new TV or the USA version of the game.

yep, *sigh* that seemed to do the trick. I got mario kart wii NTSC. works like a charm...oh well, guess I can't play those "un-released" or "early PAL wii leaks" thanks for replying though [IMG]

EDIT : but what about using the a DVD player as a converter from what i've heard? [IMG]
I was also talking to a really savvy computer guy, and he said that using those converter boxes will fix the color issue. not the "rolling" screens. He said however there are some that will do the complete conversion, are these the one's that I see online that cost $180?

by the way. (what i'm downloading now)

wario land shake it PAL - 180 seeders (no go)

wario land shake it NTSC - 80
