I don't believe so. Most cross platform games separate online play between XBox and PS3 users.

Plus it isn't true lol. Xbox people can only play xbox people, ps3 people can only play ps3 people, etc.
They promise this all the time for upcoming games, never happened.
I remember in an interview with Valve for Orange box they were like "The multiplayer is almost done we have PC to 360 already and should be able to play other systems that get ported". BS lol.

It has happened: Final Fantasy XI (XBOX 360,PC and even PS2 IIRC)
    So, I guess it's possible.

    And they are right.
If they wanted (and the console developers allowed it!!!) the orangebox would have crossplatform gaming now. The source engine is capable of doing it.
The only reason the orangebox probably doesn't has it is that microsoft or sony didn't want it. [IMG]

Its possible, but not likely since the developer would have to not use either PSN or Xbox Live.

It would be kind of hard, as they would have to set all of the players on one server, which would put a lot of stress on said server.

I think PS3 games use developer(or publisher) side servers whereas 360 games use MS servers.
So unless dev/pub wanted their online based on their servers I don't see it happening (because there's no way a PS3 game will leech off MS servers)

I'd find it somewhat unfair for free PSN users and paying Live users to play each other even though Live costs like 13 cents a day.

For games like FFXI that charges players regardless of console I don't mind.
