Hacking Question Playing online if we used Atmosphere / SX OS

I'm just think that if we just disable internet while using Atmosphere / SX OS to play backups then we turn off the console and boot in stock firmware so we are not running any CFW, this time we will be able to play legit online games or go to the eShop without big risks. Do you guys think that's possible too ?

We still don’t know if there is logs that are sent to nintendo..

There is a risk due to error logs.
You must have emuNAND (or a method to clean logs) to avoid this.

I know but that's a good start with what we already have and it's just better than just go online using cfw. I think that when people will receive SX/Get atmosphere it's better to act like that

Wouldn't blank logs be suspicious? That should never happen except with a brand new Switch right?

it's safer to have blank logs than cfw/homebrew error logs ^^ that's what I think

So if i really want to play online with smash, for example, i could backup all my saves, restore my switch, and play online with my original game safe?
Then, if i want to play backup, all i need to do, is usa the dongle, and restore previous save.

If you have two switch it's the best solution ! 1 for backups and 1 for legit and online games

Until more people start getting banned, we'll never be 100% sure what's safe vs. unsafe.

But I think most people agree that playing online with scene dumps is a very bad idea. Using a injected cert may or may not be ok if that cert came from a different game (we don't know yet). Probably a bad idea. And we don't know if the Switch might save logs of these certs while offline, and then phone home to Nintendo the next time it's online.

So while it's safer to only play scene dumps while online, it may not be safe to play them at all. At least if you care about online play.

Can I update my scene dump games while I’m in sx os? Then remove internet ?

It is a risk.
Because a Switch cartridge has an Unique Code.
and when we all play the Dump from the same release group we all have the same *Unique* Key.
if nintendo want to ban they can easily.
Maybe we need a program like a keygen for Switch games, so that everyone has an Unique key.

It's too early to know what will be safe or not. Also, all the warnings about how it's different this time round and getting banned will be super likely have all come from the people that profess to be against piracy. So, how much of that is biased scaremongering and how much is good information?

The only thing you have to decide is whether you care about online gaming and eshop. I hate digital downloads and don't think of Nintendo consoles as online gaming machines really.. so easy decision for me.
