Hi, this is the first topic I've ever made, recently I got kind of frustrated when I tried to play GTA's latest title... (the i dunno what collection). It said that you required an HDTV, or an HDMI capable TV. I don't have one, so I decided to snoop around on the net... I found (for everyone wanting to play HDMI games on a non-hdmi tv) "PS3SFO Edit", developed by Hellcat, RichDevX, and SilverSpring. Basically,it edits .SFO, right? inside the SFO you can make the game playable in a non-HDTV by marking 480 in video resolution.

Dunno if this was already known, or if it breks the rules here, but that's it... just editing the SFO with the tool you can play HDMI games on a non-HDMI-tv...

    Um...what? Seriously?! ._.

I've had my PS3 for 3 years and I've never gotten that message when I used to play it on SD.

the PS3 and games play perfectly fine in HD or regular TV. Thats WHY it ships with the old component cables.
NO game requires HDTV to be able to play it, ever......
