Hacking Playing AoT(JP) on my US 3ds! What do I do to ensure GW hack stability?

So I finally got my Gateway to work and I'm playing ATTACK ON FREAKIN TITAN on my US 3DS! Aside from the cheap crappy 8GB micro SD that came from Taiwan and broke right away and the fact that you need an SD and micro SD reader I'm happy with my Gateway. However, I don't know if I should downgrade to EMUNAND 4.5.

Once you do EMUNAND (I'm still on NAND 9.0) and downgrade to 4.5 I know that you can play online and go onto e-shop etc... but do you still have to turn off your wifi and worry about accidently upgrading? Or once I launch GW mode and downgrade am I good? Also is the blue card that came with my GW just for .nds files and nothing else?

As long as you add 3 fake wifi connections to your sysNAND you will have no update notifications and no risk of accidentally upgrading. Of course this only works after you downgrade since you need wifi to launch the 9.x exploit.

You'll need the blue card for installing the ds profile exploit once you downgrade, you will never need it again unless you play a DS game in which case you need to install the exploit again.

If you own any newer retail games (Pokemon X/Y or newer gsmes) I would advise against downgrading, as the save games will be unreadable on lower firmware. Otherwise go for it, it's more convenient to use the ds profile exploit and it allows some other things like multi decrypter for decrypting NAND and dumping/decrypting your own eShop games, cartridges and decrypting roms.

Do you think if I downgrade I'll be able to play CODENAME STEAM? I was thinking about fully downgrading my regular 3ds and keeping my XL in just regular gateway mode. Even tho I want to play everything on my XL, so the fiance can have the regular. It was nice just adding the gateway cartridge and my old SD card to my XL but I know I'll hafta format the SD card that just came with my XL if I want to run one in NAND and one in EMUNAND right?

You don't have to downgrade to 4.5 JUST to play online and go e-shop.....

Yeah I hafta do the equivalent of charles proxy right? Seems like a close call for me. THanks for telling me to fill all 3 wifi slots, haven't got a notification sense. Does it only work for non-workable wifis tho?

emuNAND 9.5 on sysnand 9.0 is ok to go to eShop.Just remember to add three fake SSIDs on sysnand and AVOID APPROACHING NINTENDO ZONE when on sysnand (or remember to turn wireless off until goin' into emunand) and you're safe to access online contents.Note that some apps from another region may come across an error saying you should agree something bla bla.If you go to network settings and agree that but still in vain,then that game's online service can be region locked and not accessible.
