Stumbled over this on another forum, could this kind of thing be the future of youtube?

It sort of works, but for some reason it says I loose when I win, and the opponent dosent fight back. But its still impressive in a way.

What do you guys think?

Oh wow, that's actually pretty damn inventive. I think, perhaps, one day it may become more popular, but right now it it just doesn't work that great. If Youtube let us directly upload SWF files, however, I can definitely see this becoming much more popular.

Wow nice find. I'm about to check out the Street Fighter Online toys too tomorrow, it seems the SOTA series has pretty good articulation too.

Pretty neat - it's kind of like a modern way to do Dragon's Lair-esque FMV-based games, where your actions determine which video sequence is played next. Ever since YouTube introduced those clickable video link annotations, I thought it would be possible to use them to make a choose-your-own-adventure style video-based game. It's not really fast enough for action games though - even Dragon's Lair's clunky LaserDisc seeking was faster!

Dragons lair is what first crossed my mind you know, do you lot ever remember those "chose your own adventure" books? I could see this being applied to that sort of format, free gaming on youtube could be massive. Especially now you have all sorts of mobile devices like Ipods that are youtube capable.

Lol, this reminds me of those "Choose your own adventure" books (Goosebumps ftw!).

Very innovative idea here, but I doubt I'll have the patience for this, especially since my internet connection is slow.
