I have tried searching the forums and have not found much, so sorry if this question has been answered countless times:

Is it possible to store/load DLC off of either a Hard Drive or SDHC?

My HD has one partition formatted to FAT32.

I am using the latest USB Loader GX to boot the game with Cios249 20b base 56 and I also have hermes 222 & 223 V5 installed.

Thanks in advance for any contribution.

RawkSD 3.0 will do this. Or you could just get Rock Band 3 next week.

In any case, if you want to do the whole emulated NAND through SNEEK or uLoader thing (which isn't really recommended as it causes the game to take about 10-15 minutes to load and is very unstable), you'll need to be reading this thread.

Disclaimer: The following information should only be used for legally downloading content that has already been purchased.

Acquire a license for the DLC you want, and one file from each DLC generation you want (there is a wad that does this).

Install uLoader and enable NAND emulation.
Get Rock Band 2 DLC tools (maybe on tehparadox.com).

Each generation has a 2 part ID: 00010005 735a4n45 (where n is the generation)

Download the DLC files you want using wget ("wget -i list.txt" will download all of them)
(for example, the 1st file from gen 5 is at: nus.cdn.shop.wii.com/ccs/download/00010005735a4545/00000001)

Run decryptor.exe to make the .app files (if it stops on the first file, download the one it wants and try again; check the url for that file in list.txt if it doesn't work).

If it stops without decrypting your newest files, you may need to update your title.tmd file using NUS Downloader.

Put the .app files and title.tmd in the appropriate location:
J:\nand\title0010005\735a4n45\content (where J is your drive with the NAND and n is the generation; this folder should already exist)

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
