its not speculation its fact lol. Switch emulation is more accurate than snes on a very high end pc, even though snes may have a larger library working. Emulation comes down too much more than just power.

the best emulation we see on the switch are lakka or emulations on android. as the switch chipset is natively supported for android and android supports arm chipsets since all tablets and phones use them. so for ps2 emu i would find a good one for android and play it on that OS

there is less arm support on any other OS so in terms of emulation on arm android is the way to go

once you go past ps1 emulation it demands more resources or fine-tuning to the emulator

There are no alternatives to PS2 emulation except Damon and Play on Android. Play is not Damon, which emulates stolen x86 code of pcsx2, which adds another layer of wasted power.

But this is how it starts. I remember that the Switch emulators sucked. Hopefully someone polishes the core for Lakka.

I saw this the other day. Got me so hype. I can't work Lakka for the life of me, but I hope it means there will eventually be a retroarch core.

This is cool, but nothing practical.

I've observed that anytime an emulator is ported to a console via homebrew (we're not talking about emulation like the GODAWFUL emulator on the Sega Smash Pack on the DC and other efforts like it), it's usually at a point where said emulators/RetroArch cores are stable enough on PCs where a lot of the issues, be they graphics glitches, performance problems, sound bugs, or anything else are already ironed out to where solving performance issues is only going to apply to the system it's being ported to and won't require fixing however many other problems there are on top of trying to get the console port of said emulator to where

Now, how about the mindfuck of performance on the Flycast core on HorizonArch running DOA2 at pretty much full speed (with minor slowdown that doesn't affect the playability of the game other than maybe when you kick a character into the panels on the training stage) while MVC2 somehow is harder to run when my ODroid-XU4 running TheRA 3.0 has no problem running MVC2 outside of slowdown when doing multiple supers at once and where DOA2 isn't quite playable? ;) Is that core still getting updates to this day?

holy off topic batman! Yeah personally to me my video is extremely practical. Just cause we never saw ps2 boot at all in lakka ya know? So it let’s others know oh ok core is there to attempt to optimize. Your video is just ugh talking through a video title? That’s worse than talking with emojis if you ask me. Will lakka ever lead to ps2 on the go who knows. Mvc2 works decent for me on redream. Personally that game is overrated. I used to love it but it just has not aged well. I actually like stuff like power stone or soul calibur more now. I have always like sam sho 3 more than mvc2 this whole time and mugen so much more its not funny. I don’t think the word practical has anything to do with emulation frankly. It’s all about having fun. It’s alot about nostalgia. So like sometimes even when it’s minor things like hearing the dkrap or the recent sm64pc camera mod just seeing these things take shape is well fun like many have said here hey we have a start. So don’t be a debbie downer mmmkay...especially just cause you can’t play mvc2...hey can you imagine a future where a lakka ps2 emu plays it suuuuper fast imagine...if that ever happened you know i am going to quote your lame wall...

By the time this particular emulator is playing games to where the need to constantly play with settings in the menu isn't like it is with PCSX2 the next Nintendo system will be out, and as much as I'd like Nintendo to get their heads out of the innovation asshole, I doubt the next system will be a Switch 2. I'd love to be wrong, though!

All the Software, from the Kernel, the Operating system, to the Software, must be written in the same architecture. It depends on what interpreter it would use to run, if Java, NET Framework, PWD, etc ... I suppose that this kernel of PS2 is not aarch64 / ARM64

Hope that they work on lakka or come out with an unofficial version that fixed Bluetooth and adds unofficial controllers through
    sys-con.
Then lakka be amazing and almost perfect.
