If they are video then DPG or your chosen DS video based app is what you need.

MP4 can also be audio though (sometimes appearing under the m4a moniker but such things are discouraged in some circles).
In this case it could be almost anything, the most common is AAC and AC3. Nobody uses AC3 for stuff other than DVDs really so it is likely AAC.

Moonshell added AAC way back ( http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=40900&hl= ) although you are limited to lower bit rates and some of the higher profiles can not be decoded.
LMP-ng is a nice player as far as I am aware there is no AAC support.

They've already suggested a converter for you. Instructions are posted above as well. What was your question again?

He wasn't saying anything along the lines of, "How the heck am I supposed to use this if I can't even understand the controls?" or something...

I see we are in a loop. I will attempt to break it.

DOWNLOAD SUPER VIDEO CONVERTER, AND USE IT TO CONVER THE .MP4 TO DPG. THIS IS THE ONLY POSSIBLE WAY.

Not entirely true, but if it works...
