I am after suggestions ( keep it clean) I would like to play GBA games on a 4” to 5” screen handheld, the DSi XL with an iPlayer card is not an option unless the emulator has improved and you get better than 25% of the games working and the new Supercard is no were close to being finished
    What do you suggest?

All the games that I played were full framerate.

Just make sure you find a psp that can be hacked.

Would go for a PSP with gPSP too. The hardware upscaling works well, the games looks very good on the PSP screen. Its dot pitch is minimal too, you hardly see the space between the pixels.

The only thing that could be held against it is that there's some ghosting when playing fast games. Not a very smart move by Sony to use a screen with slow response times in a gaming device. But for me it's not that a big deal. I got used to it after a while :>

The compatibility is good but not perfect. gPSP isn't playing in the same field as say VBA for the Windows platform, but since it's still being actively developed that might change too.

I just did the maths on comparing screen sizes the PSP 4.3" 16:9 is H 2.1"”W 3.74"”
    the DSi 3.25" 4:3 is H 1.95"”W 2.6"”and the DSi XL 4.2"”4:3 is H 2.52"”W 3.36"”
So there is not much difference between the DSi and the PSP but the DSi XL is by far the biggest
So I will have to wait for the new SuperCard II to come out so I can play GBA games

Problem with the PSP is the d-pad, I never tried one of those d-pad covers but the default one would be no fun playing GBA games with it.

Can anyone tell me if the supercard 2 or ex4ds has the compatibility that akio has? I want to be able to play gba games but I want to still be able to play newer games like warioware diy. Also, I have a dsi.

I don't like the look of GBA games on a large screen. They might look ok on an XL because of the low screen resolution but the emulation isn't there yet.
