Nuvalo has released a homebrew port of MFE the Mplayer Front End for the Nintendo Wii. MFE will allow you to playback all sorts of multimedia files including DIVX, XVID, AVI, MPEG1/2, MP3, OGG, etc ... on your Nintendo Wii.

While this is great - I hope this doesn't end up like the GC scene where everything is released for Linux except Emulators.

Works on pal, but my Homebrew Launcher (the one with the wii menu) launches it in greyscale...
Still, this movie player's pretty good. Plays m4a audio too.
I guess it's better than having to load your movie in the photo channel and then trying to sync it by putting the audio as a m4a file and making it a slideshow.

I dont care all too much about wiimote support. Please add DVD support back, most emulators seem to have dropped this support.
