Hello,

Is it possible to play the Culdcept NDS translation (https://gbatemp.net/threads/culdcept-ds-open-translation.144206) on a US 3DS using Luma CFW?

If so, could someone kindly point me in the right direction? Thanks!
Currently the only ways to do so are to either wait until the way to load them off the SD-Card is fixed as the compatibility list is incredibly low at the moment, or buy a flashcart which is generally the best option as it is flawless in playing .nds roms.

If you want a Flashcart then this is the one i recommend.

I have a Gateway blue card, but no longer have Gateway installed since I have a9lh with Luma CFW. Is it still possible to use the Gateway blue card to play the game with Luma?

You can play it on your gateway blue card then. Just update it with the latest files from gateway's website.

If it still doesn't work follow the steps for broken ds functionality https://3ds.guide/troubleshooting

Is there a guide to just put the game on the blue cart and play via Luma sysnand?

Is your flash cart not working? Follow the guide I quoted.

Have you done any modifications to something called TWL_FIRM? If not, skip part 1 and go to part 2. If you don't know for sure, start at part 1.

Part 1: To use the Gateway Blue card we need an unpatched TWL_FIRM, otherwise it interferes with the patches Luma3DS uses.
As per Luma3DS wiki:

Part 2: Preparing the Gateway Blue card for use

Sometimes the 3DS may not recognise the Blue card immediately. I have found you need to push the card a bit further into the slot and then it will work. Confirmed working as I'm using my Gateway Blue card to play Dragon Quest at the moment on my A9LH Luma3DS N3DS :)

The microSD is blank in the blue cart. I don't want to use Gateway. I just want to get the game on the SD and insert it when booted into Luma sysnand and play the game. Is that possible?

You don't need to use gateway (like their red card etc) to use the ds flash cart, but you do need their files for the blue cart to run.

Get their blue cart files, and you can use the cart like a normal flash cart.

Thanks. Is there a special procedure for getting the game files on the microSD for the blue cart? I'm using to putting the .3ds files on the red cart and the Gateway CFW took care of the rest.

No special procedure. Just throw the ds games anywhere on the microsd.

Thank you. How does Luma know which to load when you insert the flashcart?

Have you used a ds flash cart before? You will be greeted with a menu to browse your sd card contents, and you can pick your game from there. Just try it, it's easy.

Gotcha. I'll give it a try. I've never used a DS flashcart before.
