PLAY BURNT PS1 GAMES ON PS3 (i'm not joking)

    it's really simple to do. i have not tested it yet. i need to get a ps1 legit disk to do this. also you need the newest slim model. so tell me what everyone thinks.

    Havnt people been able to do this for a long time? Also don't the newer backup loaders support burn ps1 disc?

    This is basically the same trick we used to use for the original PlayStation. Only reason it hasn't been done before now is that none of the other PS3 models top-loaded.

    1st thought: So its the PS1 Swap trick all over again
    2nd thought: Well that also means all the broken spindle motors will also be back again from the increased stress of this "Trick"

    Grabbing the disc out while it's spinning does look pretty painful for the discs and CD drive.

    I know this is cool to play your psx backups on a non-modded ps3 but Iris Loader supports the use of ps1 ISOs without having to burn the discs at all.

    Yes, but you can't install a CFW on any Super Slims yet.

    Pretty much, this. Crash Bandicoot Warped will set you back a whopping $6 on the PSN store; ripping and/or burning your own copy will cost ~$1. Not worth it in my opinion either.
