ROM Hack Platinum hack to change the naming thing to the original japanese one?

i beat platinum ages ago when it was out in jap only, and i recently got the english version, and was dissappointed to notice that you can't name with japanese in the U.S. rom.
What i was wondering was if it would be possible to convert the box where you can name things to have the jap in it again?
i also noticed that they don't seem to have even changed anything, just removed a few symbols and the japanes selections.

I'd assume the naming screen was done that way, to maintain proper compatibility with the GBA games. It's been the same since Ruby/Sapphire.
