Hacking PKG file not showing up for installation (Transferred directly from PC to PS3 via ethernet cable)

I'm trying to install the Persona 5 rap file, and i apparently need something called reactPSN. Fine. Got the pkg file of the program and usinf filezilla, i sent it to the pkg folder in my PS3. EXACTLY the same process I used for the game.

But it isn't showing up when i enter the "install pkg files" menu. What am I doing wrong?!

help! I'm a noob, and if you need any information, you'll have to tell me where i can check it. I didn't do anything to my PS3, it was bought "ready".

you gonna need USB flash drive or HDD to actually use RAP file, so find one and try to install pkg from there while you at it.

Um, that was what i first tried.

I formatted a USB flash drive to fat32. It had exactly two folders: pkg (with reactpsn) and exdata (with the RAP). It didn't show up either.

Edit: it was supposed to go in the root, i see.

Successfully installed, playing atm. Thanks for the help everyone!
