Need some help here. got the picofly RP2040. Everything checks out on the diode reading. Before install the OFW works. I'm able to get to Hekate, create partition, emummc created. but when i boot into OFW or CFW i just get a black screen. TIA!
You didn't tell us practically anything, the type of ERISTA or MARIKO card, resistors applied on DAT and CMD, type of RP2040 (zero, tiny or other)

Sorry, the picofly RP2040 is for OLED. No resistors applied to DAT and CMD. followed installs online didnt mention one needed.

I see what you are asking on which chip it is on the install guide. But none of them matches. I have attached the one I got. TiA! Should I update the firmware to see if that helps?

I installed an Erista Picofly Core in my switch. I have flashed the firmware with the latest from the Anem-SoD repo as well. When everything is installed I get ==* CPU always reach BCT check (no glitch reaction, check mosfet) error. The switch still boots to OFW. Not sure what the issue is. I have soldered the two points on the flex cable and they both return good on resistance.

I am baffled as to the problem. I am including a picture of the chip that I have as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many people have reported errors with these kinds of chips. Most of them being the wrong resistors, not allowing it to boot up. Sometimes it could be the flex on the CPU itself, so others will use a different one or use a mosfet directly wired to the CPU cap. If you have pictures or might be easier for someone to troubleshoot the issue.

If it's black screen then try add a resistor. It worked for me.

EDIT: I solved it! I moved my 47 Ohm resistors over so that they were hanging off and it made a better connection. They must've been bridging.

When I power it on, I get a blinking blue light for about a minute 10 seconds, then it blinks white, and continues to blink blue for another minute 20 before blinking red then turning off.

Video:

Do you need a soldering skills and tools in order to do this? My modchip is a little different from yours. It says Picofly Core on it and the eMMC is on a separate thing hanging off the back of the console, but the LED is doing exactly what yours did. If it's not doable without, is there a reputable mail in repair service that deals with modchips? The installer service I used was shut down by Nintendo lawsuit so I cannot get back into contact with him.

Doesn't really matter which chip you use. The error led should still tell what the fault is.

If the Tinyfly already had a mosfet for the CPU on the PCB then you could really say... best chip

@RatchetRussian, is this the original thermal paste on the heatpipe? It looks different to me.

btw. today a made a OLED with the abal emmc Adapter 2.0. I can really recommend it. Work verry well.

So would bad SD card files cause the CFW not to boot? My Switch won't boot while the SD card is inserted. If I take the card out, the modchip will tell me there's no SD card. If I use the button combo to get to OFW, it works perfectly, but it seems to stop responding to all button inputs when I put the card back in. Has anyone else experienced this?

Try a different SD card and see if it resolves your problem?

Yes, that's what I'm currently working on, except I'm waiting for the file backup to finish. First I'm going to try reformatting this one and copying the contents back onto it before I have to dig another SD card out of one of my other devices. I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced these symptoms before I wasted my time on a wild goose chase and it turns out to be another problem completely.

How does this sdcard behave when you connect it to PC? No slow downs? How's the file transfer speed?

It seems to work fine and transfer speeds are about what you'd expect. It took about 2.5-3 hours to transfer 250 ish GB of data from the card to the PC, and about the same amount of time to copy the files back. I also tested it with a different card and got the same result. Also same result whether both cards are formatted in exFAT or FAT32. It also doesn't matter what files are on the cards, they will both freeze the OFW and can't even get into the CFW bootloader.

It's either your wire installation if you have mod chip or check sdcard reader pins. Maybe something is shorted

That narrows it down. I had somebody install the modchip for me. That worked great for a long time, but then it just started doing this one day. I sent it to another person and they redid all the soldering and re-applied the thermal paste and it worked for all of one hour last night and then it did a panic with yellow text (I wish I had taken a picture of this) and went back to doing the exact same thing.

EDIT: Seems to be nothing wrong with the SD reader. And this is as far as I could get trying to look at the soldering before I gave up and got worried about breaking something:

The last person who was in there stripped one of the screws holding the metal shield in place, so I had to break it off. I think I'm just going to see about getting a refund from them and then selling the Switch for parts. Might be able to get a few dollars for it in its current condition.
