well, since I don't have such console, we can only try messing with attempts and timeouts
(try 2.80)
@rehius First I would like to thank you for all you do. If you have a donate link least I can do is buy you a cup of coffee. Yea I understand how difficult it would be without having the console to test. But 2.80 didnt work

was trying to go over few pages (now 800+) , but can't find some confirmation that this guide/firmware will also work for this chip from AE. In case is not could you suggest where to get FW before i start to solder (per utube guides...)

Thanks ;)

But why? I don't get it. The flex PCB with the mosfets is one thing, I can understand buying those. Even the DAT0 adapter for OLEDs, kamikaze is scary. But all these no-name clone chips from Ali... why do people insist on using them?

Are they really that much cheaper, easier to get, or more convenient than a Waveshare RP2040 board and some decent quality magnet wire?

Yes, they are cheaper and they save a lot of time. Typical install for oled is 30-40 mins. V1 V2 even less, just 2 solder points approx 15 mins. Price roughly $4 - 5 shipped. The one that didn't glitch 100% of the time I use instinct instead. But instinct is very pricey ($17 shipped and taxed). With a full time job I only have a few hours to do this during the weekends. I mod for free for friends and family and for online strangers I only charge them parts and postage. So time is precious here.

I hope everyone can spread their love and knowledge. I have seen a lot of nasty comments laughing at people who attempt their own mods. Why are people so mean, why not help and guide them instead. If it wasn't for rehius and ansem sharing their firmware, we wouldn't be having discussions here, so please be kind to each other..

If you click on "important posts", then "firmwares", you should be directed to the firmware post by rehius. AE chip works. Good luck 🤞

Do you have a emmc reader to see if its dead or try to backup?
I do not have an emmc reader nor did I try and do a back up.

Yeah that's my thinking...saves time and it's "made" for it , due to that it fits better to console, saves space, no extra crazy cabling etc...

Thanks for the FW I found it.

Just what i'm not sure about:
There was FW 2.73 (Ansem-SoD and maybe some others on github) , they abandon it..? The one from Rehius 2.80+ is some Fork?

Rehius is the origin. Any picofly firmware descend from it.

but with a reboot-ofw you had purple screen I guess
When I tried to boot into ofw through hekate it said failed to initiate emmc. I didn’t try it yesterday. I’ll try when I get home. I’m 99% sure it’s dead but I don’t want to tell the customer until I’m 100% sure.

I know you know, but have you tried changing the CMD resistance?

Which one is easier to work with rp2040-zero or rp2040-tiny from your personal experience

Hi All,
I got the below from AE. Installed, but getting the black screen on OFW/CFW.
Was able to boot into Hekate with no problems. Created partition and emummc.
Not sure where the problem is... after some research i think i will see if the firmware needs to be updated. If anyone have the similar issue and was able to fix this please let me know what you did? scratching my head all day. TiA!
