Is the story connected between the other games or can I play them in any order?

Yes they're connected so it's better if you play them in order.

Well one would assume that the order of the games would go according to order of release.
One would be right to assume as such.

    Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
    Phoenix Wright: Justice For All
    Phoenix Wright: Trials And Tribulations
    Appollo Justice: Ace Attorney

Trials And Tribulations does have some flashback cases to before the first game, but they're clearly intended to be played in release order (some things in the flashbacks won't mean as much if you haven't played the first to games, even.)

    Yes, it is [IMG]
Apollo Justice and T&T are my personal favourites so far [IMG]
With PWAA coming a nice second, and JfA being meh in my opinion

Yeah, JFA was pretty meh, except for 2-4. ^^

3-5 is still the best and most epic case, IMO.

    Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
    Phoenix Wright: Justice For All
    Phoenix Wright: Trials And Tribulations
    Appollo Justice: Ace Attorney
hum this is the correct order of game Release but you can play them like this
    Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
    Appollo Justice: Ace Attorney
    Phoenix Wright: Justice For All
    Phoenix Wright: Trials And Tribulations
since appollo is just a "expansion" of ace attorney theres no connection beat wen Trials And Tribulations and Justice For All, it gives the same story line and in both version you can't even present profiles like in other games
wait I just remembered isn't magma or whatever its called forgot, was from Justice For All if yes then don't read this [IMG]

    Very, VERY incorrect.
Apollo Justice is a spinoff, and it takes place AFTER Trials and Tribulations.
It still has Phoenix Wright as a main character, so you should play them in order.
    Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
    Phoenix Wright: Justice For All
    Phoenix Wright: Trials And Tribulations
    Appollo Justice: Ace Attorney

Apollo Justice is chronologically 7 years after Trials and Tribulations

spoilers: well still in PW you always do time traveling and playing whit other characters so lets say you time traveled or something but still you won't miss anything if you play that way but still I would recommend play in release order since it gives a nostalgic feeling when you see PR return

    Spoilers guys! [IMG]

I've finished all of them, but I know that some people (namely the OP) will not have finished any of them, and will not want spoilers as to who is in Apollo Justice [IMG]

Well, I'm sure we all know that the Fraulein detective from 1-5 is in this game...

She's even in the trailers. And so is Hobohodo. >.>
