Hi,

I'm playing Phantasy Star Online I&II on a soft-modded Wii (PAL-version).
I use devolution to launch the game and the game works online etc.

However, it takes forever to find items like "Sealed J-sword" or any lvl 30 technique disc,
so I thought of hacking the game somehow.

I read there are several ways to hack PSO, but all seem to require
a third-party memory card (for example Action replay app)?

Is there a way to hack weapons into PSO without the need to
buy a third-party memory card?

Are you playing online on schtserv? If so, I wouldn't recommend doing that, but if you're determined, action replay probably has what you're looking for. I haven't played pso for gcn in a long time, so I don't know if they ever came up with a save editor or anything for it.

So... Isn't this an online only game, are you asking for help to cheat?

If I understand your question, your concern is regarding hacking in an online game.

That is correct. PSO is not however, an online-game like WoW where you would go up fighting against real players.
(Which would make hacking a unacceptable and game-destroying thing.)

Phantasy Star Online is playable both online and offline.
While offline-mode is lagfree and safe from disconnects,
the online-mode offers unique quests.

In PSO, it's possible to play co-op with other players.
The online-mode is comparable to playing Diablo 2 on battle.net.

However there seem to be no trading between players going on.
I want to assume it's because of that people can easily make items in this game.
Well... I'm not sure that no trading going on is a fact, or merely bad observation from my part.

Anyhow, whether playing online or offline, for me this game is all about solo-play.
Since it's most effective both exp-wise and itemdrop-wise.

I hope this message comes out in a respectful and humble manner.
I wish not to ruin the game or forum spirit in any sense.

Yes, I'm playing on schserv. I understand, so the server is not liberal to itemmaking?
I better check that before I try anything then.
It would not be worth it, if I was to be banned.
There are not many servers freely available like schserv.

At the same time, however, I would like to try that end-game gear.
Guess I have to stay offline after making stuff.
Thanks for the headsup. :)

Another thing I would add to this: the offline mode of PSO I&II Plus also has all the quests that were available online when the game was live. You simply keep going to the Guild counter to so all the initial quest you see there and more of them will pop as you go.
I play online on PV with Blue Burst. Not many people but always people online still and you can play full game plus some very good community content over the years. I use the Ultima server.
