    At a recent Phantasy Star Portable 2 promotional event held in Akihabara, Sega revealed some details for its long-dormant next installment in the multiplayer RPG franchise: Phantasy Star Online 2. The revelation came in the form of a video (a very rough off-screen version of which is posted after the jump), which reveals a few elements like randomly-generated hunting areas, third-person shooter gameplay and -- an entirely new and completely thrilling addition to the franchise -- the ability to jump. We know! It's madness.

    You can check out a few screenshots of the upcoming action-RPG over on 4Gamer, or check out some translated blurbs from the event on Andriasang. Hopefully, we'll learn more about when we can expect the PC-exclusive title in the near future, as its alpha test is scheduled to begin sometime this summer.[/p]

    looks nice and kinda different from the rest BUT the question is... is it free (even partially) or does one only have to "get" the software/game

    And randomly-generated areas? I'm getting flashbacks of how fucking boring Caves was...

    But if they manage to not do that, I'm going to piss myself.

    Also... mags? *hopeful face*

    That looks really fun, I WANT TO PLAY!

    But my PC doesn't have enough power to run it, and I won't be getting a better one anytime soon... ;A;

    It doesn't look like a "cpu hungry" game, those graphics look quite dated for a MMORPG (I'd put it under Lineage 2 and above WoW in terms of graphics). Probably will run on anything that came out in the last 5 years.

    But I don't know what kind of pc you guys have.

    SEGA did say it will run on mid-range computers.

    As for me, 1GB RAM, single core CPU and ATI X300? Lolno. I actually do need a new computer.

    This doesn't even look midrange. It can run on hardware from 3-5 years ago.

    Phantasy Star Online's Gamecube release was my first mindless-grind-JRPG. I'll be looking forward to this.
