Persona 2 PSP Trailer and Release Date (North America)

It's not exactly a surprise that finally, Atlus USA is releasing the enhanced port of Persona 2: Innocent Sin in North America. The company's relatively recent rise to prominence was built on the back of the Persona series, particularly Persona 3 and 4, so it would be ludicrous not to release the only Persona game never to make it to US shores (not officially, anyway).

Now, the game has a date, and it's coming soon. As in, "September 20, 2011" soon. This confirms earlier leaked release dates seen on Amazon.com and other online retailers.

A couple of weeks from now it'll hit shelves and will come with a soundtrack disc containing the newly remixed tunes from series composer Shoji Meguro. If you're a purist and not into remixed music, an option to change to the original is in-game as well.

Though the game isn't out yet, a new trailer is, snugly embedded below. PSP owners can now commence looking forward to the game, while everyone else can now commence bitching about how it's not Persona 5 or not on the PS3 or PS Vita or Xbox 360 or not a new Shin Megami Tensei core release.

Hey, at least it's not a pachinko machine or a Japan-only cellphone game, right? Count your blessings!
