I really don't understand why people want a port Persona 4 , I adore P4 but I don't want Atlus to port/remake another games (bar EP as Persona 2 is a double act). I want Persona 5 for my Triple.

Persona 2 really doesn't matter to me, I'll play it though but I still want them to make a Persona 5 rather then more ports.

So...which Persona is the 3DS getting? I guess we can rule 2 out.
Famitsu says that Persona (the first one only, so far) will be coming to the 3DS.

Devil Survivor: Overclock, and the Shin Megami Tensei series (not the spin-offs) will also be coming to 3DS.
Aww...I was hoping for 4, but I guess the miracle never happen

Who knows, maybe if the first one sells well on the 3DS, they'll port the rest.

Well,

This is what Atlus released:

Atlus
* Etrian Odyssey
* Shin Megami Tensei
* Shin Megami Tensei: Persona
* Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor

It doesn't refer to any specific title, but the series themselves - The EO series, the SMT series, the SMT Persona Series, and the SMT:DS series. (Else wise, they'd say EO 4 and the specific name of DS, which we now know has become a series.) I HIGHLY doubt the first Persona title is coming to the 3DS, but it's possible. But then again, who knows - maybe Atlus will show something at E3.

I personally do want a portable version of Persona 4 - we have a portable version of every single other version (other than Eternal Punishment, which may or may not be coming), and until we have a way to play PS2 games on the go, it'll be the only way for those that don't have a PS2 to experience the title. It's popular as well, so hell, we might see it. But for now, we'll have to do with P2:IS.

Moreover, it might be a P4: FES. I never played P3 or P3: FES. but I do know it would be a very good thing.

Thanks for the confirmation.

I wasn't sure as to which one famitsu referred to by "Persona", since Shin Megami Tensei and Etrian Odyssey were posted as a series release (as "Shin Megami Tensei series" and "Etrian Odyssey series").

OFF-TOPIC QUESTION: why did Atlus decide releasing devil survivor 2 on the DS and not 3DS?

The DS is WAY more popular right now, and it'll be guaranteed to get more sales on it instead of the 3DS.

Yeah, probably. More over, they don't have to directly compete with Ocarina of Time or any other guaranteed bank busters. DS2 is getting released for the DS, and when it comes to the states, it might come for the 3DS over here as an Overclocked style release, or maybe just a DS game. Either way though, I can't wait to play that title either
