If you have a special edition Pro Controller, and a Windows PC with bluetooth, please help me gather color info.

What I need you to do:

  • Grab CTCaer's Joy-Con Tookit;
  • Sync your Pro Controller to your PC via bluetooth;
  • Open Joy-Con Tookit (maybe as an administrator);
  • Copy the body and button values here.

  • Click "Grips color".
  • Copy the left grip value here

  • Select "Grip (R)" and copy the value here too

You can close the program and post the values.

Example:
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Edition Pro Controller:
- Body: #d2d2d2
- Buttons: #e6e6e6
- Left grip: #ffffff
- Right grip: #ffffff

WIth this we can compile in this thread the exact colors that the controllers display on the Switch. Thank you for everyone that helps.

The thread for Joy-Con Tookit have several post about pro and joy con colors

I could only find CTCaer himself suggesting a color for de Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pro controller but taken from photoshop, not the actual controller. I took the Super Smash from my OP from a thread on Github.

I will try tomorrow to compile them. They are dispersed on the long thread

Thank you.

That's odd though, #FFFFFF is pure white and they show as pink.

Edit: seems like it uses some hackery. From here:

Changing the body color to 313232 will force the grips to be Splatoon colors.
Changing the body color to 323132 will force the grips to be Xenoblade color.

So, by changing to those values, it ignores the grips values and uses those color schemes, interesting...

For those interested in changing to Splatoon 2 or Xenoblade, it won't simply accept those particular colors:

Oh sorry, I should've explained how to do it through the Toolkit.

First, set your colors like you normally would.

Then, go to the section where it says "Debug: Custom Command".

Set the following:
Cmd: 01
Subcmd: 11
Subcmd arguments: 1b6000000102

Hit "Send" and you should be good to go. You should get a Subcmd Reply starting with 80 11.

Also, there is a bug sending sub commands, so, the workaround is:

What I really did that worked was typing "11" into the subcommand, opening up the HD Rumble Player, then going back to the debug menu and it doesn't block you from sending anymore, even though the error still shows.

Also, to me, I needed to try to change the body color before and after the command to work.

Edit 2: now that I notice, it's the same principle for the Smash Bros one, but doesn't seem to require that debug command. I wonder if it is the same for the rest of the special editions.
