That said, I'd rather like to see a confirmation from Kojima's studio itself - this isn't really trustworthy. Kinda the equivalent of Kid Icarus's WiiU port.

I'm playing older games in the series to gear up for the release.

Whatever the case, I hope the plot is more grounded than previous games, and just zeroes in on what makes the MGS series works.

After seeing the trailer, I'm pretty sure it's going to be spectacular. The devs were really driven into the ground with this. I also noticed certain throwbacks to the original Metal Gear intro - after all, Snake was climbing that cliff with zero effort.

Kojima does indeed appear to be putting in a solid effort.

Personally among all the fanfare about the visuals and the fox engine, I wonder if expectations of both fans and critics will remain grounded. It would be a shame if this turns out to be a less than solid game and Kojima goes from hero to zero. Also I'm interested in what the soundtrack could be, I imagine a orchestra would be great but some other types of genre would be fantastic. Let's say metal for boss fights, it would be fucking boss. I reckon this would take the MGS saga up another gear.
