Hey chief, thanks for the update: do you have any news about DK4?Big update, I had been neglecting this thread for way too long now... Still some corrections to do in the "ongoing" section, I guess...
Hey chief, thanks for the update: do you have any news about DK4?
His work has been stagnating at 60% for several months now: I fear this is not a good sign. Welp, evidently not all programmers are as efficient as you. Thank you for your undaunted commitment. An affectionate virtual handshake from your main supporter, however little it's worth. It's about 60% done ATM.
Oooh.. Hi and welcome. It's an honor to "meet" you. Yeah, that was one of my teases (provocations or similar), nothing more. I already knew that that game contains a lot of dialogue: it is no coincidence that among connoisseurs it is considered a memorable gigantic masterpiece, like Yu-No. And if you were to finally complete it, well you will surely have the gratitude of many PC-98 fanatics and your name will be remembered in the history booksSaying my work is "stagnating" really isn't helpful at all. DK4 has 56,533 LINES of dialogue. A "line" can range from "..." to a 2-sentence soliloquy about sex in one of the ero-scenes. The script is huge. Not YU-NO level huge, but still huge in it's own right. It's gonna take awhile, and I cannot give an estimated date of completion at this time.
Hi there! Just wanted to clarify that the original Dragon Slayer VI: The Legend of Heroes was for PC-88, and the PC-98 is a port.[...]
This Dragon Slayer spinoff spawned a long-running, still ongoing series of very nice classic J-RPGS. The PC Engine version of this one was localized, but pretty much butchered. If you plan to play the series, you should start by the original Pc-98 version instead! The author is planning to do the second game as well, while the next three games are being worked on by Geofront (Windows versions only, sadly)

At one point, JackDBS and I were considering doing a partial script port of EVE burst Error to PC-98: removing every Clinton (and related people from that administration) joke, and translating the ero scenes from scratch, keeping the rest of the script as-is. This was going to be a placeholder translation until someone did a full retranslation, if ever. That said, the original Windows EVE script is stored in a massive .DAT file, and text could not be extracted, he contacted the Asenheim project admin for assistance, but never heard back. So there is no planned EVE translation/script port being worked on now, unless it is something that hasn't been made public, or that I'm not aware of.For "Eve", the toolset is the same as for "Amy", "Love Potion" and "Fatal Relations". It's available and public so the compression isn't really an issue. The problem is the size limit of the scripts (we haven't got full script decompilation yet, and some might hit the limit if no cuts are made) and most of all, that all H-scenes remain untranslated. And I'm not even mentioning how bad the existing English "Eve" script is.
I recall there are some scene people that were considering it (more as a re-translation project than just a script port, actually), but I can't say for sure if it's currently being actively worked on.
As for "Divi-Dead", Windows (and Dreamcast) only, sorry
