Hacking Patched PAL to NTSC-U, hit start, black screen

Hi,
gotten a backup copy of Family Trainer PAL version, patched with regionfrii to NTSC-U. Disc channel able to see the banner now. However, when I hit START to play the game, it just stucked at a black screen. How do I fix this? I can run that game on gecko os, however I would like to to run through disc channel. Please advise.
