    Hi all,

I wanted to install Priiloader v0.4 for my softmodded Black Wii (4.2E).
After reading some tutorials I installed a patched IOS60 and IOS70.
Priiloader is working fine but after I read the tutorial again I noticed I did not have to install a patched IOS60 on 4.2E.
    Only a patched IOS70 is needed for 4.2E Wii's.

My question is: Are there any downsides for me having IOS60 patched on my 4.2E Wii? Will a patched IOS60 harm my 4.2E Wii? Or can I just leave it patched?

    Thanks a million!

Well, many of us have installed the patched IOS 60 first since system menu 4.2 wasn't available since 2009 and we haven't any problem when we updated to 4.2 and the patched IOS 70. By the way, NUS Auto Downloader is a great piece of software for update and softmod your wii.

P.S.: Make sure you won't delete an IOS lower than 200 or you can brick your Wii !!!

    Thanks for the replies!

I will leave IOS60 patched on my system.
I won't delete any IOS than.

    Cheers!

p.s. Thanks for pointing me to NUS auto downloader. But my Wii is already softmodded. Why should I use NUS? What advantages does it have?

Why is it recommended to patch the System Menu IOS when using Priiloader?

Well, I've tried many softmod guides, but, in my opinion, NUS Auto Downloader is the best. It has all the IOS'es and cIOS'es updated so your Wii will run the latest games flawless, it has a friendly interface and if you add NeoGamma and CFG Usb Loader then you've made a perfect choice.

    I see mayu29.

    Thanks for sharing.
Though my Wii is already modded. So no need for it now.
But I will def. keep it bookmarked for future reference.
