Larian Studios is bringing one last major patch to its popular RPG Baldur’s Gate 3. Available as of today, Patch 8 brings a host of new features, including:
  • Crossplay: Introducing crossplay between PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Mac, so players can party up with friends no matter what platform they play on.
  • Photo Mode: Adventurers can snap photos of their escapades during cutscenes, dialogue, and combat, and edit them to their hearts’ content with a slew of post-processing effects (and stickers…)
  • 12 New Subclasses: Brand-new subclasses; new abilities, VFX, animations, summons, and Oathbreaker Knight voiced dialogue; each class has a new way to play.
  • Modding Toolkit Update: Patch 8 brings partial level editing and quality-of-life updates to BG3’s official Modding Toolkit.

While Patch 8 is considered as the final major content update for the game, Larian is passing the torch for future additions to the community by launching the official Modding Toolkit Update today. It brings quality-of-life updates, and partial level editing for existing items, characters. Additional modding details are available via the Official Baldur's Gate 3 Toolkit Documentation.

If you happen to like it, consider buying it. We really need more Larian games in this world.
I am considering buying it but I am currently in debt and just want to enjoy it

It's was an entertaining game, needs some mods to fix some aspects and annoyances but overall.
There's an entire in game mod section. You can install mods to change pretty much any part of the game you want. I'm surprised that you played it but aren't aware of that fact. Maybe try it again. It's a great game and worth every penny.

Hmm? I know. Although I played it all at launch and the mod toolkit wasn't available I did installed the mods that fixed the annoyances and bad aspects, that's why I say they are needed.
