I've been trying to figure out the Firmlaunch mode. Everytime I try to boot SSB I get a black screen then it says that an error has occurred and to power off my 3ds? I followed the instructions to update SSB through the E-Shop. I have firm.bin in the same folder as my pasta launcher and the firmlaunch mode appears to be enabled as I cannot use the Eshop spoof anymore when it is. Any ideas as to why it's still doing this? I've tried multiple dumps of the game including my own, yet I get the same error each time.
Edit: Also i'm on 9.2 with an Old 3DS XL

did you format the card to fat32 first? Most 32+GB cards are not fat32 by default...

I don't think it works on O3DS I'm having the same problem, with the same setup as you.

Smash and MH4U is not working with O3DS/2DS due to memory refresh, it only works to N3DS which has more RAM and no need for a memory reset or refresh.

Yes, you can. Just use Cubic Ninja/MSET to run Pasta or MSET/Spider to run Gateway.

Yup, my set up is currently an N3DS with MSET/Gateway and Ninjhax/Pasta.

Just a guess:

The Message says "N3DS Key Initialized..."

But your firmware is 4.2.0.9U
Meaning you have the Old 3ds
When you launch PastaCFW Configurator.exe
Did you select the New 3ds Model by mistake?
You can try the configurator again selecting Old 3ds

Actually im new to this too, but firmlaunch is supposed to basically spoof the firmware so u can play newer games. But i keep getting that error

until a way to get the new encryption keys is found, it's hopeless to expect support for emunand above 9.5.
It's the same problem for everyone, both CFW's devs and Gateway's devs.
