Sorry, last time I tried a cart it was on NTR, which skips update prompts. I forgot those exist. =/
Perhaps that Gateway version of RegionThree which launches the cart without the HOME menu to be region free would also bypass update, though that might not work...

Or as stated earlier, dump, install and transfer save. Whatever floats your boat.

How do I dump the game from the cart?
I dont have gateway, will pasta or another program be able to dump my cart?

You can dump your game using the gateaway launcher, even if you don't own a gateway card. Have you a old or a new 3ds ?

Now just need to get a bigger microsd card!
Still rocking the 4gb stock card.

Any easy way to convert to cia format after the dump?
I'll also check some sites for tutorials on how to do that.

I might be thinking of a different key than you. I'm talking about the slot0x25KeyX.bin thing. Delete the file (or rename it) to launch without using it. Anyway, I'm in the wrong thread to be talking about that key. Not sure PAsta uses it at all, but there's just so much homebrew and CFW stuff now that I've confused myself...

Edit: I just tried the PastaCFW configurator for the first time. When selecting Old3DS and download, I get 4 files downloaded then get an error message "Length of the data to decrypt is invalid"

Tried searching the forum for that error but got no results...

Last github commit has vertical scrollimg support. You don't have to edit the main.c, just build latest source!

It seems it only works in the credits screen. Maybe it is possible to use the Power button to power it off instead of Down+B? (which would make sense, by the way...)

Ah wait i know why. DPAD_DOWN is mapped to move right/down (depends on the theme). I have to change the button.

P.S. First begin holding a button, them hold the other one, while keeping to hold the first button. Don't press START and SELECT together at the same time.

As long as you don't just copy and paste it will be fine, there is a guide somewhere on here that explains it in detail. If you have any questions ask it there.
