If you can find out why setting it sometimes just freezes the 3DS with double red screens, that'd be great. Been ruining my mem dumping experience lately.

setting the flags while the kernel is running may cause unpredictable results unless you're setting the flags during firmlaunch or from within an interrupt routine (edit: the latter may still cause unpredictable reults / freezes)

Well, if any of the CFWs can run .3ds games, then Gateway will be completely worthless.

@nop90 I think you said something along those lines? To try and create an application which can load ROM in this format? Are you still pursuing these plans? It would be awesome because I don't like those CIA conversions.

I have tested the beta 1.3 on O3DS 4.5 eur without firmlaunch it boots fine but with firmlaunch enabled the 3ds just freeze on blackscreen with the line:
"apply patch for type c.... Done!"

I use the 1.3 beta 3

On the companion app, you downloaded the right firm.bin, the one for O3DS ?

Edit: since you are running 4.5, it might be a key issue, you have the KeyX file present at the root of your SD card ? (Yes, at the root of the card)

I've installed the CFW on my old 3DS XL version 9.2.0, and it works like a dream. It ran retail games, 3DS/DSiWare, homebrews and demos!

Fun fact, I've had Cubic Ninja a long time ago before the ninjhax exploit was released, lucky me B-)

Something to do with N3DS, it hasn't been announced yet because they haven't found a way to get whatever it is working yet.
no, firmlaunch is the process of using a higher FIRM on a 3DS to load a game that requires a higher firmwar e- e.g. running Xenoblade on a 9.0 N3DS when Xenoblade needs 9.3
This was released today I think

if u mention secret feature before 1.3, yes it is firmlaunch which has been implemented in this new ver.
no, the secret feature wasn't firmlaunch, it was something even better than that, but we still have no luck with it; it has been put on a hold for the mean time.

Still hoping that one day we can launch NDS roms.....

i have no idea how that'd work but i imagine it'd be similar to loading 3ds roms - install hooks, redirect device descriptors and call kernelsetstate() in order to boot into nds firmware?
