For a CFW that is free and open source how hard would it be to read the entire thread. Are people afraid of learning something about what they are actually doing? GateWay's instructions are not any better. Let the programmers program and not waste time having them spoon feed your lazy asses.

I'm not too sure about how the system handles titles, especially with pasta cfw.
Does installing a regular title such as mariokart8.cia make any changes to the NAND that indicates the presence of that title?
Or is it simply that every title on the SD card is read and loaded unless there are signature checks.
I ask this because I want to know if it's possible to insert an SD card belonging to another 3DS into one loaded with Pasta CFW and load all of the games.
The movable sed encryption key will be different so I don't think that will work.

Each system has a unique file structure. And I'm guessing the titles on the SD are encrypted as well. On top of that, there appears to be some database of installed titles. So no, you can't copy+paste a friend's SD. You can, however, copy the title.db and the particular games/software from a linked NAND into the SD that you are using with Pasta, and that should work (given I did this to restore my legitimate saves/games). Best to just install the CIA files of the games you want.

I like the GUI menu.non would be better if after detecting firmware boot happen to user choice in new graphic design (menu Pasta CFW).
I find it uncomfortable having to start menu "HOLD L".

There pages of people that can't understand.

The op gave a bad example, yes he gave a cfw, but whats the point of it if we cant understand to use it my friend

If you didn't understand these instructions, you shouldn't be using this CFW. Honestly, you'll just end up bricking your 3DS installing something you shouldn't have later on. Invest the money now and get a SKY3DS, it's still better than having to replace a bricked 3DS.

He gave a good example, everybody else here managed to make it work with OP's instructions, you're the only one who didn't get it...

go through this whole thread i seen at least 5-7 people needing help and that just 1-4 pages i was looking at

i judge by statistic lol not just by me my friend

i told the admin tho so hopefully he will edit it
I also requested help at the time but that was because the OP didn't provide the instructions at that time, I could do it pronto with the instruction provided by OP.

Yeah, and that's exactly the 5-7 people that will come back to this thread later whining that PastaCFW bricked their 3DSs.

There's already a disclaimer in red on the first post, but I guess it should be made even more clear that using stuff like this is not for inexperienced users.

that's the difference between you and other people

there's several type of idiot:
type 1: idiots that read and understand
type 2: idiots that read, do not understand and ask nicely
type 3: idiots that read, do not understand and call other people idiot

believe me, all of us here have gone through at least one of em
be grateful. type 3 is the rare type and you're one of them ;)

What are you talking about, I'm done I got it working.

Wait so i'm looking restarted because i'm stating the facts? Basically all i'm saying the people in the thread is giving more helpful advice than the op
which is saying something?

We all should be complaining/asking him to change what he edited, just in case new users/ current users don't get stuck

I really didn't get the logic of your post

Well for me it was the opposit I was given less accurate informations by people from the thread than the OP's instructions, our opinion may differ...

Well if you're not smart enough to follow those simple instructions that were given maybe you shouldn't use a CFW. The instructions are pretty good actually but not entirety noob proof as it seems.

Anyway guys, I didn't read the whole thread and I didn't really get if EmuNAND is planned or not, do you have any consistent info on this matter? I think it's crucial for the future evolution of the soft...
