From VC-Reviews.com:

"Nintendo Power have a piece in their May issue which would seem to indicate that Paper Mario is coming to the Virtual Console. No dates are given and as this came out in 2001 it is already ESRB rated so it's harder to validate this from another source at present.

Still we live in hope. With Super Paper Mario doing so well in North America on the Wii this is really is the perfect partner. "

I prey for this, this is one to appear soon on VC. I wouldn't mind paying for as I can't seem to get a proper copy of this game for less than £30, though knowing Nintendo it would probably cost more than most N64 titles.

Paper Mario on the Virtual Console?

When are they gonna release Super Paper Mario on the real console!? It hasn't even been announced over here yet!

Nintendo of Europe never fail to disappoint. So don't get your hopes up.

The ESRB has to rerate every game going onto the Virtual Console. If you ever see it on ESRB.org, it'll be put up. For example right now on ESRB I see, for the Wii, Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos which got an E. As far as I'm aware, they've never even mentioned this coming out to the VC.

Ooh I see Vectorman and Zelda II on here...Oh my god Zombies Ate My Neighboors! Hmm, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine...no Paper Mario yet though.

In that case it really seems it's heading to VC. Finally a game worth my remaining VC points

Think the list is for Japan release right?

Anyway, Paper Mario and Shining in the Darkness are rated in the ESRB site. So I bet they will be coming to the VC soon.

Come on Big N! Stop release the shooters and start releasing those epic RPG games!

I confirm that this is real as I have the May issue of the Nintendo Power which has Paper Mario listed as a staff pick. If you want hard evidence I'll glad to scan it the page.
